Auston Matthews has played in 182 career games so far and he has scored 97 goals and recorded 81 assists. His career plus/minus is 30.

Matthews is another player on this roster that has a big contract. William Nylander received one earlier in the year and John Tavares is also another one. Mitchell Marner will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season and he will need a new contract in order to stay with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Auston Matthews is one of the few players in the NHL that will have a contract that is at least $10 million per year or more. Signing him to this contract extension means that Toronto plans on being serious Stanley Cup Contenders for a long time.
