5 MLB bold predictions for 2018

With teams reloading for the 2018 season and with some teams obviously looking forward to seasons after the current one. We are starting to see what teams are the real deal, and which ones are the pretenders. But with spring training around the corner, here are 5 bold predictions for the upcoming 2018 season.

1. Dodgers will miss the playoffs

The Dodgers are one of the favorite teams in the National League to reach the World Series. Going to back to back world series is not as easy as it sounds, especially playing in the NL west division where in 2017 three teams made the playoffs. Now that we saw Kershaw can produce in the playoffs, the added pressure once he gets back to October baseball will show. And I believe Dodgers will fall third behind the Rockies and Diamondbacks in the west
2. Aaron Judge will have more HRs than Stanton

The big off-season move was Giancarlo Stanton going from Miami to New York. The potential lineup for the Yankees this season is scary. Having Aaron Judge and Stanton potentially go back to back is something opposing pitchers don’t wanna face. With Stanton hitting 59 HRs last season, most people have him as a favorite to lead the league in such category this year. But I’m 2018 I believe Aaron Judge, will lead not just the Yankees but the AL in HRs. All Rise
3. Astros will win 120 games in 2018

Just like the Dodgers in the national league. The Astros; in the American League are a favorite to get back to the World Series. I agree and apart from that I believe the Astros will win 115+ games this season. This would put them as one of the best win/loss records in history. Can we witness history in 2018?
4. Hunter Renfroe will lead National League in HRs in 2018

Who? Yes, Hunter Renfroe. If you aren’t a Padres fan, you are probably asking yourself who this is. Hunter Renfroe a Right fielder, product of a Triple A team down in El paso, Texas called the Chihuahuas. Was called up to the show during the 2017 season. And started to make an immediate impact in the lineup. Mostly with his bat. Finishing the season with 26 HRs. Remember the name in 2018
5. Rockies will win NL West

The Rockies are coming off a great 2017 campaign. They are loaded with young talent, and now they have added some much needed bullpen help. Straighten out some contract negotiations and look ready to make a real good run in 2018. With talent like Charlie Blackmon, who just had the best season from a lead off hitter in history, and Nolan Arenado arguably the best third baseman in the game. This team will make some noise in 2018. And did I mention Coooooooors.
