The St. Louis Blues were riding a nine-game winning streak heading into Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Minnesota Wild on the road. St. Louis dominated from the get go and they shutout Minnesota 4-0.

Rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington was a big reason why the Blues won again. He was his eighth consecutive start and Binnington made 31 saves and he recorded his fourth shutout of the season.

St. Louis scored two power play goals in the first-period. Vladimir Tarasenko scored 5:08 into the game and Ryan O’Reilly scored with 30 seconds remaining in the first.

Vince Dunn scored 7:27 into the second-period for the St. Louis Blues. Brayden Schenn scored a goal with 7:54 remaining in the second.

Alex Stalock made 26 saves for the Wild. Minnesota still holds a one-point on the lead on the Vancouver Canucks at the moment for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.  These two teams will play each other again one more this season next Sunday night at Minnesota.

The St. Louis Blues next game will be at home on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Minnesota Wild’s next game will be at home on Tuesday night against the Anaheim Ducks.
