Derrius Guice has suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the year, according to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter.
Guice is a RB that was drafted from LSU in the second round this year by the Redskins. He was a RB that was projected to breakout this year and generate a lot of hype in the Redksins’ backfield.
Guice came up gimpy during the Patriots game yesterday and didn’t play most of the game. The initial diagnosis was a sprained MCL but the second MRI confirmed he tore his ACL.
It’s a tough blow for the Redskins, as they just lost arguably their best running back, and Guice, as he would be starting off his career with an injury. Expect more touches given to Chris Thompson, Samaje Perine, and Rob Kelley, provided that they make the team.
