Bruins Dominate Hurricanes in Game 2

The Boston Bruins carried the momentum from the third period in Game 1 into Game 2. They dominated the Carolina Hurricanes early and often in this one and won 6-2. Boston leads this series 2-0.

Matt Grzelcyk scored for the Bruins with 4:38 remaining in the first-period. Jake DeBrusk scored a power-play goal with 1:28 remaining in the first-period.

Connor Clifton scored 3:46 into the second-period for Boston. This hockey team is getting scoring depth anywhere and everywhere and that is what you need in order to win championships.

Grzelyck scored his second goal of the game for the Boston Bruins on the power play with 2:04 remaining in the second-period.

David Backes scored 1:10 into the third-period for Boston and Danton Heinen scored 3:22 later in the period for them.

Carolina did not get shutout in this game. Justin Williams scored with 8:43 remaining in regulation and Teuvo Teravainen scored with 2:28 remaining in regulation.

Petr Mrazek did not get pulled at all in this game and he finished the game with 19 saves.

Tuukka Rask was stellar once again in net for Boston with 21 saves.

Game 3 of this series will be on Tuesday night in Carolina and for the second time this postseason, they trail a series 2-0.
