Bruins Silence Maple Leafs

The Boston Bruins did not want to suffer another loss and head back to Boston with the series tied at two against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins silenced the Maple Leafs in Game 4 with a 3-1 win and Boston now leads this series 3-1.

Patrice Bergeron didn’t play in Game 4 for the Boston Bruins because of an upper-body injury. Riley Nash played some first line center for Boston in place of Bergeron.

Torey Krug scored 28 seconds into the game for Boston. Tomas Plekanec scored a goal later in the first for Toronto.

Brad Marchand scored the game-winning goal with 3:05 remaining in the second-period for the Bruins. Jake DeBrusk scored a goal for Boston in the third period. Tuukka Rask made 31 saves for the Bruins.

Frederik Andersen made 18 saves for the Maple Leafs. Game 5 will be on Saturday Night in Boston and the Bruins will look to advance to the second round.
