Bucks Hang On Against Celtics

After Marcus Smart forced a jump ball with 3.7 seconds remaining in regulation, the Milwaukee Bucks had 0.2 seconds on the shot clock to get a shot off if they won the jump. Milwaukee won the jump and the ball was tipped off the rim in time and it should have been Bucks ball because they grabbed the offensive rebound and the game would have ended, but it was called a shot clock violation instead.

Kyrie Irving missed a potential game-winning shot as time expired and Milwaukee hanged on for a 98-97 victory over the Boston Celtics.

With the game tied at 95 in the fourth-quarter, Khris Middleton hit the game-winning 3-point shot with 32.5 seconds remaining for the Milwaukee Bucks. He finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Kyrie Irving cut the lead to one point with 27.5 seconds remaining and the rest was history. He scored 22 points, grabbed one rebound, recorded five assists, blocked two shots, and recorded two steals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30 points on 57.9 percent shooting from the field. He also grabbed  13 rebounds, recorded six assists, blocked two shots, and recorded one steal. Malcolm Brogdon scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. He also recorded four assists and recorded a steal.

Brook Lopez scored 10 points, grabbed eight rebounds, recorded one assist, and blocked two shots. The Milwaukee Bucks scored 23 bench points. Ersan Ilyasova scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds.

Jayson Tatum recorded another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 53.8 percent shooting from the field. Al Horford scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. He also recorded five assists, blocked three shots, and recorded two steals.

Marcus Morris scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded two assists. The Boston Celtics scored 21 bench points and Jaylen Brown scored 15 of them. He also grabbed five rebounds, recorded three assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal.

Boston’s biggest lead was 11 points and Milwaukee’s biggest lead was nine points. The Bucks win the season series 2-1 and it is very possible these two teams will meet again in the NBA postseason.

The Celtics next game will be on the road against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. The Bucks next game will be at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
