The Cleveland Indians had another early playoff exit in 2018. They have a very talented roster and Cleveland should be a walk in the park to the 2019 postseason because of how bad the AL Central is.
The Indians are looking to win the World Series for the first time since 1948. Their starting rotation will be one of the reasons why they could win it all this season. Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, Trevor Bauer, Mike Clevinger, and Shane Bieber will be the starting rotation.
The bullpen could be a major question for this team heading into 2019 however. Brad Hand will be the closer. They didn’t bring back Cody Allen and Andrew Miller.
Adam Cimber, Jon Edwards, and Nick Goody will be some of the key relievers in the bullpen.
Jose Ramirez will be the starting third baseman, Francisco Lindor will be the starting shortstop, Jason Kipnis will be the starting second baseman, and Jake Bauers will be the starting first baseman. Carlos Santana will be the designated hitter.
Jordan Luplow will be the starting left fielder, Leonys Martin will be the starting center fielder, and Tyler Naquin will be the starting right fielder.
Greg Allen and Max Moroff will be two of the key backups on this team.
Roberto Perez will be the starting catcher and Kevin Plawecki will be the backup.
Spring training games for the Cleveland Indians have already started. Opening Day for this team will be on Thursday, March 28 against the Minnesota Twins on the road. Cleveland’s home opener will be against the Chicago White Sox on Monday, April 1.
