Derrick Henry Bulldozes in Titans Win over Jaguars

The Tennessee Titans decided to send a message to the Jacksonville Jaguars that were going to run the ball down their throats. Derrick Henry hasn’t done much this season, but he had the best game of his NFL career with 238 rushing yards on 17 carries and four touchdowns in a 30-9 win for Tennessee over Jacksonville.

The loss for the Jaguars has eliminated them and the New York Jets from playoff contention. Henry scored on a 3-yard touchdown in the first.

The Titans muffed a punt later in the first and it turned into a Jacksonville safety.

Derrick Henry scored on a 99-yard touchdown run in the second-quarter (missed extra point). He scored on two more touchdown runs in the third from 16 yards and 54 yards.

Taywan Taylor was the Tennessee Titans leading receiver with six receptions for 59 yards. Marcus Mariota completed 18-of-24 passes for 162 yards and one interception.

Cody Kessler threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Dede Westbrook in the third-quarter for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He caught seven passes for 88 yards receiving and a touchdown. Kessler completed 25-of-43 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 17 yards on five carries.

Leonard Fournette was Jacksonville’s leading rusher with 36 yards on 14 carries. He also caught two passes for five yards receiving.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-9) will host the Washington Redskins (6-6) next Sunday. The Tennessee Titans (7-6) will be on the road against the New York Giants (4-8) next Sunday.
