Farewell Big Papi

On Friday June 23rd David Ortiz had his jersey retired in Boston, his home for many years. Ortiz, originally playing in Minnesota for 6 years was a .266 hitter and really made his claim to fame when he later joined the RedSox in 2003. I think Big Papi is a no brained Hall of Famer. He means a lot to the City of Boston and is a very clutch player. His presence in the Sox dugout is most definitely missed and Friday Big Papi was honored
Following a 14 year Career in Boston Ortiz finished his career batting .286, 2472 Hits, 1419 Runs in a total of 8640 at bats. A memorable career worth noting.
