Kyle Turris passed it to Craig Smith and it created a two-on-one opportunity for the Nashville Predators and he passed it to Kevin Fiala and he tipped it home 5:37 into overtime as the Predators won Game 2, 5-4 in double overtime against the Jets. The series is tied at one.
Ryan Johansen scored 27 seconds into the game for Nashville. Dustin Byfuglien and Mark Schiefele (power play) scored for Winnipeg in the first period.
P.K. Subban (power play) and Viktor Arvidsson scored for the Predators in the second period. Brandon Tainev scored for the Jets early in the third period. Ryan Johansen scored for Nashville later in the third. Mark Schiefele scored for Winnipeg with 1:05 remaining in regulation with an extra-attacker on the ice. The rest of the game was history.
Both goalies played well. Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves for the Jets. Pekka Rinne made 46 saves for the Predators. Game 3 will be on Tuesday Night in Winnipeg.
