Hurricanes Even Series Against Capitals

Goaltending is what makes or breaks teams in the playoffs. The Carolina Hurricanes had  a 2-1 lead late in the third-period against the Washington Capitals. Washington had some glorious opportunities to tie the game at two on a power play, but Petr Mrazek made some big saves as Carolina held on for a 2-1 victory in Game 4. The series is now tied at two games a piece.

Mrazek made 30 saves for the Hurricanes. Warren Foegele scored 17 seconds into the game for Carolina and he has scored three goals in the last two games.

Alex Ovechkin tied the game at one for the Capitals in the second-period with 9:25 remaining.

Teuvo Teravinen scored with 28 seconds remaining in the second-period for the Carolina Hurricanes.

In the third-period, T.J. Oshie left the game with an injury and he did not return. His status for Game 5 is unknown right now.

Braden Holtby made 22 saves for Washington.

Game 5 will be on Saturday night in Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena.
