Is Ronald Acuna Jr. being Pegged a Big Deal or Not?

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. had one of the hottest bats in the league until he was hit by a pitch in the elbow in the first-inning against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday Night by John Urena. After that pitch, the benches cleared and there was a lot of frustration on both sides.

Urena was ejected from the game after one pitch. Acuna Jr. left the game in the second-inning and he underwent X-rays and they came back negative. Ronald Acuna Jr. underwent a CT Scan and there is no serious damage. He is back in the lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Thursday Night against the Colorado Rockies at home.

Is it a big deal or no big deal what Jose Urena did? I understand what John Urena was trying to do. He was trying to make him uncomfortable in the batter’s box , but unfortunately the pitch hit him. Jose Urena had no intention in trying to hit in the head.

A head shot looks way more intentional than an elbow shot. I am not trying to be a defender of Urena either. What he did was wrong, but I understand why people are upset about it. I don’t have an issue with making batters uncomfortable, but it’s an issue when other players get injured.
