James Harden Stays Hot; Rockets Top Celtics

It is difficult to stop James Harden right now from scoring the basketball. He once again took over the game for them as he scored 45 points, grabbed two rebounds, recorded six assists, and blocked one shot in a Houston Rockets 127-113 win at home over the Boston Celtics.

This is the sixth consecutive game that Harden has scored at least 35 or more points. This is the second consecutive game that he has reached the 40-point mark. Houston won their last eight-out-of-nine games.

Clint Capela recorded another double-double for the Rockets with 24 points, 18 rebounds, and one block. Eric Gordon scored 20 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded assists, and one steal.

The Houston Rockets scored 27 bench points and Gerald Green and Austin Rivers each scored 10 points.

Kyrie Irving led the way for the Boston Celtics with 23 points, five rebounds, 11 assists, one block, and one steal. Marcus Morris scored 19 points, grabbed six rebounds,  recorded two assists, blocked one shot, and had one steal. He was ejected from the game in the fourth-quarter because Morris had two technical fouls in the game.

Al Horford scored 15 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded four assists, and had one steal for Boston. They scored 41 bench points and Jaylen Brown scored 18 of them. He also grabbed five rebounds in the game.

Houston only led by two points at halftime. They outscored Boston 70-58 in the second-half. These two teams will play each other one more time this season.

The Boston Celtics next game will be on the road on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzles. The Houston Rockets next game will be on the road on Saturday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.
