The Los Angeles Rams are off to a 3-0 start to the 2018 NFL season. They lead the NFC West at the moment and the Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Miami Dolphins remain undefeated.
One of the reasons why the Los Angeles Rams are off to this start is because quarterback Jared Goff has been conducting this offense with ease. He does have tremendous support around him like running back Todd Gurley, wide receivers Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks, and Cooper Kupp, and head coach Sean McVay, who is an offensive wizard.
The Rams have the third best offense in the NFL and they currently average 439.3 yards per game so far this season. That offense will face a tough Minnesota Vikings defense at home on Thursday Night.
Los Angeles was only held to seven points against the Minnesota Vikings last season on the road.
Goff completed 62.2 percent of his passes for 225 yards in that game. He will need to look a lot better on Thursday night against the Vikings.
So far this season, Jared Goff has completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 941 yards six touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 15 yards on six carries.
Goff is starting to look like he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Jared Goff maybe an elite quarterback sooner rather than later. He was the number one pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
It looked like he was going to be a bust at first with having Jeff Fisher at the helm, until the Los Angeles Rams decided to fire him and hire Sean McVay.
McVay was the Washington Redskins offensive coordinator before he became the Los Angeles Rams coach last season.
Current Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins thinks the world of Sean McVay. At one point in time, Cousins said to him, “I owe you my career.”
I bet this is what Goff should be saying to McVay already. Jared Goff showed signs of life to be a really good quarterback one day in the NFL last season. This season, he is off to a tremendous start and it wouldn’t be surprising if Jared Goff is a candidate for both MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.
