Jets Erupt for Seven against Predators

It seemed as if Game 3 was going to be a long night for the Winnipeg Jets after trailing 3-0 in the first period. They didn’t feel sorry for themselves as they outscored the Nashville Predators 7-1 in the final two periods and the Jets won Game 3, 7-4. Winnipeg leads this series 2-1.

Mike Fisher, P.K. Subban ( power play), and Austin Watson scored in the first-period for Nashville. Paul Stastny, Dustin Byfuglien (twice), and Jacob Trouba scored for Winnipeg in the second period.

Filip Forsberg tied the game at four for the Predators with 12:20 remaining in regulation. Blake Wheeler scored the game-winning power-play goal with 4:59 remaining in regulation for the Jets. Wheeler scored an empty-net goal with 51 seconds remaining and Brandon Tanev scored an empty-net goal with 31 seconds remaining.

Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves for the Jets. Pekka Rinne made 38 saves for the Predators. Game 4 will be on Thursday Night in Winnipeg.
