Jets Fuel Offense in Game 3 Win over Blues

The Winnipeg Jets lost the first two games at home against the St. Louis Blues in this series. Winnipeg had their backs against the wall entering this contest. The Jets got off to a slow start, but they got rolling in the second and third period as they erupted for six goals in a 6-3 win against St. Louis in Game 3 on the road.

David Perron scored a power-play goal for the Blues with 48 seconds remaining in the first-period.

Kevin Hayes tied the game at one for Winnipeg 4:57 into the second-period. Patrik Laine scored 2:40 later in the second-period for the Winnipeg Jets. Kyle Connor scored a power-play goal 1:01 later.

Vladimir Tarasenko cut the lead to one for St. Louis 1:51 into the third-period on the power play.

Brandon Tanev scored for Winnipeg 2:24 later in the third-period. Dustin Byfuglien scored 3:41 later in the period for the Jets.

Alexander Steen scored for the St. Louis Blues with 6:18 remaining in regulation.

Kyle Connor scored for Winnipeg with 5:16 remaining in regulation.

Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves for the Winnipeg Jets.

Jordan Binnington made 23 saves for St. Louis.

This was a much needed for Winnipeg because otherwise they would have been on the brink of elimination had they lost this hockey game. Game 4 will be on Tuesday night in St. Louis.
