The road team has won four times in the Winnipeg Jets vs Nashville Predators series heading into Game 7 in Nashville. The Jets dominated on the road once again in Game 7 with a 5-1 win over the Predators. Winnipeg won this series 4-3.
Tyler Myers and Paul Stastny scored goals for the Winnipeg Jets in the first period. They scored it in a span of 2:47. Both of those goals were bad goals given up Pekka Rinne and Rinne was pulled because of it. He only made five saves on seven shots faced. Rinne was pulled three times in four home games in this series.
Juuse Saros made 14 saves in relief for Nashville. P.K. Subban scored a power-play goal later in the first for the Predators.
Mark Scheifele scored on a one-timer in the second-period for the Jets on a pass by Patrik Laine after a turnover was forced in Nashville’s defensive zone. Stastny scored a power-play goal in the third period. Mark Scheifele scored an empty-net goal with 2:33 remaining in regulation for Winnipeg.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was fantastic between the pipes once again with 36 saves for the Winnipeg Jets. They will face the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals. Game 1 will be on Saturday Night in Winnipeg.
The Nashville Predators season concludes after winning the Presidents’ Trophy for the first time in franchise history.
