Roberto Perez hit a solo homer in the second-inning for the Indians off of Hector Santiago.

Carson Fulmer (1-2) was the losing pitcher for Chicago. He pitched one inning and gave up two hits and four runs. Fulmer also walked two batters and struck out one.
Santiago took a beating in mid-relief. He pitched four innings and gave up nine hits and seven runs. Hector Santiago walked three batters and struck out eight.
The Indians still remain 0.5 games back of the Tampa Bay Rays for the second wild card spot in the American League. Cleveland is only one game back of the Oakland Athletics for the first wild card spot in the American League.
