Kareem Hunt Finds New Home with the Cleveland Browns

Running back Kareem Hunt was released from the Kansas City Chiefs in late November because of a video that was released of him beating up a women. It was only going to be a matter of time before he was back with another team in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns signed him to a 1-year deal and he will be a restricted free agent after next season.

Cleveland’s backfield is now loaded with Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb, and Duke Johnson Jr. The Browns finished 7-8-1 last season and they finished in third place in the AFC North. They just improved their chances to make it to the playoffs even more for 2019.

Hunt spent his first couple of seasons in the NFL with Kansas City. In his career so far, he has played in 27 games. Kareem Hunt has rushed for 2,151 yards on 453 carries and 15 touchdowns. He also has caught 79 passes for 833 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.

Hunt is only 23 years old and he played college football at the University of Toledo. Kareem Hunt will be returning to his hometown state. John Dorsey is the current general manager of the Cleveland Browns. He was also the general manager with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dorsey drafted him in the third-round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
