Kyle Schwarber and Ian Happ to hit the trade market

It is July which means it is time for some trade rumors!

Yesterday, rumors came out that the Cubs are looking to trade young position players. This made many people think of who this could be, well now we might have an idea.

Jeff Passan who has covered major league baseball since 2004 said that he thinks “Happ is still being dangled as a trade piece over Jimnez.” It is being reported that a destination for Happ could be the Baltimore Orioles in a trade that would involve Ubaldo Jimenez to the Cubs. Ubaldo has a 6.67 ERA with the Orioles and he is currently 4-4, so I hope this trade does not end up HAPPening.

The Cubs have also reached out to the struggling Detroit Tigers for their All- Star pitcher, Michael Fulmer. The Cubs were also interested in Daniel Norris. While with the Tigers Fulmer has posted a 3.19 ERA on the year and he is currently 9-6. I would hate to get rid of Kyle, but the Cubs need pitching really bad so I can see this happening. Norris is 4-7 on the year with the Tigers and he has posted a 5.29 ERA.
