The Toronto Raptors were playing in another big nationally televised game at home on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Kawhi Leonard stepped up large for the Raptors once again as he scored 36 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded five steals in a 113-102 win over the 76ers.
Serge Ibaka scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kyle Lowry only scored seven points, but he grabbed four rebounds and recorded four assists. Pascal Siakam scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.
The Raptors scored 41 bench points and Jonas Valanciunas scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Jimmy Butler had a monster game for Philadelphia with 38 points and 10 rebounds. J.J. Reddick scored 25 points. Ben Simmons scored eight points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and recorded 11 assists. Joel Embiid recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. He also recorded five assists and blocked two shots.
The Philadelphia 76ers scored 18 bench points and Landry Shamet, T.J. McConnell, and Mike Muscala each had six points.
These two teams will play each other two more times this season. Philadelphia’s next game is on Friday night on the road against the Detroit Pistons. Toronto’s next game is on Friday night on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.
