Marchand Strikes Again in Overtime for the Bruins

Whenever the Boston Bruins have played 3-on-3 overtime so far this season, they feel confident because Brad Marchand has scored four overtime winners in the 2017-2018. Marchand received a pass off the boards from Torey Krug and he skated pass Matt Dumba and Marchand scored on a wrist shot from the left circle :28 seconds into overtime to help the Boston Bruins beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1.

That is Marchand’s fifth overtime goal this season and that is Boston’s sixth overtime win this season. David Pastrnak scored the other goal for the Boston Bruins 3:12 into the second period. The Pastrnak-Begeron-Marchand was reunited for the first time since February 25. Patrice Begeron recorded two assists in his return from a right foot injury.

Mikko Koivu tied the game for the Minnesota Wild in the third-period with 10:40 left in regulation. Alex Stalock made 26 saves for the Wild.

Tuukka Rask made 24 saves for the Bruins. The Boston Bruins are currently two points back of the Tampa Bay Lightning for the number one spot in the Atlantic Division. Boston also has one game in hand on them. The Bruins swept the season from the Minnesota Wild 2-0.
