Last’s week update

Below are links to both part 1 and part 2 of this week’s roster update predictions done by our team.

Part 1

Part 2

Know, although we typically just do 2 parts, this week we have decided to do a part 3 to add even more players to the list. Below are more players who we feel have a good chance of seeing a change.

Marcell Ozuna 86 to 88

Ozuna is hitting .327 on the season with 18 home runs and 50 rbi’s. He is hitting .347 vs lefties and he is hitting .322 vs righties. He currently has just 68 contact vs right handers, so expect an upgrade there. Another great stat, he has 17 home runs vs right handers, so expect his power vs right handers to see a major increase, while he only has 1 vs lefties, you should expect a downgrade from his 75 power vs lefties.

Justin Turner 88 to 90

Turner would be leading the league in batting average by a long shot if he qualified. He is hitting a whopping .399 on the season with a 1.027 OPS. He is hitting .410 vs righties, so don’t expect his 95 contact vs righties to see too much but he is hitting .375 vs lefties despite only having 69 contact. While yes, his home runs are down, he still has a .549 slugging percentage with all of the extra base hits. Expect an upgrade in contact vs lefties which should bump him up to a diamond.

Paul Goldschmidt 93 to 94

Yes, Paul Goldschmidt is truly this good. He is hitting .324 on the season with 16 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and a 1.038 OPS. He is hitting .340 on the season vs righties so should see an upgrade from 84 contact vs righties. Also, despite him being a first baseman he steals bases. He currently is 12th in the league in stolen bags and he finished 9th last year. His 70 speed is correct but his stealing needs an upgrade from 68 in my opinion.

Starlin Castro 83 to 85

Castro is hitting .324 on the season with 12 home runs with a .872 OPS. He is hitting .330 vs righties despite only having 77 contact. Also, he has all 12 of his home runs vs righties so he could see an upgrade in 62 power but should see his 39 power vs lefties drop (although not too much).
