This roster update is set to take place this Thursday rather than Friday. Below are a few players who I feel will be impacted by this update.
Jose Ramirez 86 to 89
.322/.388/.601 with 17 HRs and 48 RBIs
Not quite diamond, but very close. Ramirez is off to a great start and will even be hitting second for the AL All-Star team. He is hitting .319 vs lefties so I could see his 74 contact getting a boost. He is also slugging .646 vs righties so could get an upgrade from his 58 power.
Carlos Correa 89 to 90
.325/.402/.577 with 20 HRs and 65 RBIs
Finally, I have Carlos Correa going diamond. He has been nothing short of incredible this season. Correa is hitting an amazing .395 vs lefties so I expect his 73 contact to see a nice boost.
Charlie Blackmon 88 to 90
.319/.372/.583 with 20 HRs and 61 RBIs
Like Correa, I feel Blackmon has been deserving of this upgrade for a while. Blackmon is hitting .326 vs lefties so he could see his 72 contact increase to about 77-80. He is also slugging .597 vs lefties so could see his 67 power increase a little as well.
Rougned Odor 80 to 77
Odor has been quite bad this season, really ever since he punched Bautista his career has been on a downfall. With just 14 walks and 88 strikeouts, I could see his 60 vision getting bumped down. Also, Odor is hitting just .169 vs lefties so look for his 52 contact to see a downgrade.
George Springer 86 to 89
.310/.380/.613 with 27 HRs and 61 RBIs
To put it simply, Springer has been really good this year. Springer is hitting .345 off of lefties so could see an upgrade in his 78 contact, as well as off of righties he is hitting .297 so his 62 contact could see an upgrade too. He could see a slight boost in power vs righties with him having 18 HRs against them this season.
Keep posted for a potential Part Three and within the next couple of days, we will be releasing our MLB The Show 18 Wishlist.
