MLB The Show Roster Update Predictions

One of the best parts of Diamond Dynasty in MLB the Show is the weekly roster updates. This allows for players to almost buy “stock” in players. The weekly updates are a very big part of the game. For example this year already, players like Freddie Freeman and Daniel Murphy have already jumped tiers from gold to diamond. These updates are based on real life performance. These are my official projections for the May 19th roster update.

Dallas Keuchel 88–90 +2

In my opinion, he deserved this upgrade last week. he currently is 7-0 this year with a 1.84 era

Jake Arrieta 90–89 -1

Jake was dropped 2 last week but after another poor performance that dropped his era to a whopping 5.44, he does not deserve to be a diamond

Jeff Samardzija 82–79 -3

His era is currently a 5.26 which does not warrant an 82 overall

Bryce Harper 94–95 +1

Bryce is currently hitting .388 on the year with 13 bombs

Buster Posey 92–93 +1

Posey is currently hitting .372 on the season, I would expect his contact vs righties to increase

Nelson Cruz 88–90 +2

We have Nelson Cruz going diamond… He currently has 10 home runs, along with a .326 average with 34 rbi’s. Not to mention his walk rate is at an all time high and his OBP is the highest it has been at for him in the last 10 years.

Freddie Freeman 92-93 +1

Freeman is raking right now with a .343 average and 14 home runs

Starlin Castro 83–85 +2

Castro is hitting .340 with 7 home runs, deserves an upgrade

Jason Vargas 80-83 +3

This one is easy, leads the league with a 1.01 era

Corey Knebel 73–76 +3

Corey recently took the throne as the closer of the Brewers. He has been amazing this year. 0.86 era with 35 k’s

Wade Davis 91–92 +1

His era is 0.00, enough said

Ryan Zimmerman 82-85 +3

Zimmerman is raking, that is all you need to know

Matt Kemp 82–83 +3

As well as Zimmerman, Kemp has looked very good this year

Mark Reynolds 80–82 +2

I would expect his 84 v Righties and 66 v lefties (power) to increase

Greg Holland 84–86 +2

Leading the league in saves by quite a margin I definitely expect Holland to recieve this upgrade and jump to the gold tier. He has been impossible to hit seemingly

Logan Morrison 68–76 +8

This is long overdue. he is currently tied for 10th in home runs

Aaron Judge 82–84

Not quite gold but very very close
