After a pretty disappointing roster update last week, there is hope that this update brings more pleasant updates. Many players are due upgrades but have not been upgraded. Below is the first edition of this week’s roster update.

Dallas Keuchel 88 to 90 +2

Check this post by clicking this link. That link explains in more depth why I think Keuchel will go diamond.

Ryan Zimmerman 82 to 85 +3

Check this post by clicking this link. That link explains in more depth why I think Zimmerman will go gold.

Manny Machado 93 to 92 -1

Machado is hitting .219 on the season. He has a .738 OPS, none of these stats warrant a 93 overall especially one the has 79 contact v/r and 74 contact v/l. Expect to see him see downgrades in each category. Although he has done better as of late, still be on the lookout for him to receive some sort of a downgrade.

Starlin Castro 83 to 85 +2

Starlin Castro currently ranks third in the MLB in total hits, behind Blackmon and Dickerson. Castro is hitting .315 with a .841 OPS and 9 HRs on the year. I expect him to an upgrade to gold this week. Starlin has deserved this upgrade for a couple of weeks now in my opinion.

Matt Kemp 84 to 85 +1

Matt Kemp, as well as many of the others listed, has been deserving of this upgrade for a couple of weeks now. He is hitting .335 on the season with 10 home runs and a .948 OPS on the season.

Corey Dickerson 80 to 83 +3

Dickerson is hitting .336 on the season with a .979 OPS. But we all know he can hit, right? 79 contact and 88 power vs righties ain’t too shabby. But where he can get upgraded is vs lefties. He has 65 contact vs southpaws despite hitting .353 with a .935 OPS vs left-handers this year. Expect him to see an upgrade here.

Zack Cozart 80 to 84 +4

I included Cozart in last week’s predictions only for him, like so many others to get overlooked. He is hitting .344 on the season with a 1.054 OPS. Look for his 66 contact vs righties to increase as well as his 62 power vs righties as he is hitting .322 with a 1.009 OPS vs right-handers this season.

Check back for part 2 coming later this week.
