MLS Power Rankings: Atlanta Remains On Top Western Conference Teams Make Big Moves.

With the MLS Season in full swing and the World Cup under way, it is time to get soccer heavy on this blog. Expect bi monthly power rankings and at least 3 MLS articles a month. By the end of the summer you will love soccer! I promise.

1.       Atlanta United

2.       New York City FC

3.       Sporting KC

4.       FC Dallas

5.       Columbus Crew SC

Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez has scored 5 straight hat tricks an MLS record. Sporting KC continues to dominate with their young guns. FC Dallas is fast and young and really good at fluid attacking soccer. Not to mention they have the best defense in the leauge.

6.       Los Angeles FC

7.       Portland Timbers

8.       New York Red bulls

9.       New England Revolution

10.   Orlando City FC

Los Angeles FC has slowed down a bit with players off to play in the world cup and suddenly lacking depth. Portland Timbers have rebounded from a slow start behind Diego Valeri and the hustle of Diego Chara. Orlando has hit a bit of a snag after a nice bounce back stretch. RSL does not make the top ten simply because though they have played well they are still finding there cohesion as a squad. They have nothing they do super well.

11.   Philadelphia Union

12.   Vancouver Whitecaps

13.   Houston Dynamo

14.   Real Salt Lake

15.   Los Angeles Galaxy

16.   Minnesota United

17.   Chicago Fire
