NBA Power Rankings: On a Ten Game Winning Streak The Jazz Break Into The Top Ten

1. Golden State
2. Houston
3. Toronto
4. San Antonio
5. Milwaukee
Golden State remains the best team in the league but a real case could be made for putting the red hot Rockets at number one. Toronto continues to take care of business in the east and then the field really gets murky. Where is Boston you might ask? The Celtics even before there loss to Cleveland have had major struggles over the past week. So San Antonio and Milwaukee jump into the top 5. The Bucks have won 4 of there last five and look like a threat to surge into the three seed in the East.

6. Minnesota
7. Cleveland
8. Boston
9. Oklahoma City
10. Utah
Why are the Jazz in the top ten? This is a power rankings not a verbatim reading of the standings. The Jazz have won ten straight. Some of those wins include, Golden State, San Antonio, Toronto, and Portland. The Jazz are currently playing like a top ten team. Cleveland jumps back into the top ten as they look like a re energized franchise after an active trade deadline.

14. Portland
15. Philadelphia
Indiana continues its surprising statement season in the east. Washington has survived without John Wall, make no mistake though they still need him on that team. When he comes back though they will need him to adapt his game and actually have some type of movement off the ball. Damian Lilard and CJ McCollum have completely balled out for the past two weeks. However the Trail blazers still have some defensive problems.
