The Buffalo Bills are wheeling and dealing. Today, just as the first few preseason games have begun being digested, this happens:
Sammy Watkins, high on talent and potential, will be Jared Goff’s new go-to WR1. He should fit in nicely in an offense that already has a player in a similar situation, Todd Gurley. If Gurley and Watkins find their stride, the Rams offense could be poised to explode in 2017.
Of course, that means Tyrod Taylor needs a new toy to throw to in Buffalo.
Matthews, the Vanderbilt product, has a new home. Coming out of college, he projected to be more of a slot receiver and looked to be able to settle in as the 2nd option behind newly acquired Alshon Jeffrey. Now though, Matthews will need to work the outside position and become a weapon for Taylor to utilize, opening up the field for LeSean McCoy.
Bills also pick up a 2nd and 3rd round pick in the upcoming 2018 draft.
PSF will have more fallout on these trades as the day moves along.
