Oshie’s Goal Lifts Capitals

T.J. Oshie was having a rough night for the Washington Capitals. He was getting roughed up and Oshie even left the game at one point because of an injury. Oshie played hero for the Washington Capitals and scored the game-winning goal with 1:14 remaining to lift them to a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins have lost five games in a row.

Sidney Crosby scored a power-play goal for the Pittsburgh Penguins with 7:44 remaining in the first-period.

Alex Ovechkin scored a power-play goal for the Washington Capitals 7:09 into the second-period.

Evgeni Malkin was ejected in the third-period for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third-period for an elbow on T.J. Oshie.

Casey DeSmith made 20 saves for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Braden Holtby made 41 saves for the Washington Capitals.
