West Bracket
Favorite: UNC. UNC fell to Virginia in the ACC final against the Virginia Cavaliers, but UNC is incredibly hot right now. I do not believe that Xavier should be a one seed and I think the favorite to make it out of this bracket should be the UNC tar heels lead by Joel Berry.
Under seeded: Gonzaga, I stated in my article last night I believed the zags should be a 3 seed. The Zags played excellently all year long and should make a run to the elite eight in this bracket. They should be a trendy pick this march.
Over seeded: Xavier, take them to go no farther than the Elite Eight. They showed some real weakness in the BIG East tournament. This team is talented and could make a real run for the title. While they are over seeded, and I would have put Zaga or UNC at the one Xavier is still a very good team. Don’t discount them.

Upset alert (team most likely to get upset): Texas A&M, another team I believe is slightly over seeded playing under seeded Providence. I would not expect them to survive the first weekend and wouldn’t expect them to reach any farther than the sweet 16 at best. They really struggled in SEC play.
Cinderella: You look, and the obvious candidate has to be Providence. If that team could make it past UNC I would not be shocked if they made it to the Elite eight or Final four. March is all about heat and the hottest team in the Big East other than Villanova is providence. Another key candidate would be Missouri. If Michael Porter Junior gets going Mizzou could easily beat Xavier in the second weekend. Look to San Diego state as an early upset pick, Houston SD State is the best game in this bracket of opening weekend.

Best player: Trevon Bluiett, Xavier.
Best Coach: Roy Williams, UNC.
Expert pick: My pick would have to be UNC. They have the tourney experience and are incredibly hot right now. However, there are others, the top three final four candidates would be: UNC, Gonzaga, and Xavier. My elite eight teams at first glance would be, UNC and Gonzaga a rematch of last years title game.
A final note
Pick with your gut, use analysis like this with a grain of salt from PSF to ESPN no one knows what they are talking about when it comes to March because it is March, and nothing makes sense in March. That is why we love this tourney, pick responsibly.
