While week one of the NFL didn’t produce any barn burners it set up tons of intriguing matchups for week 2. How good are the LA Rams? Are the Redskins in Trouble? Can the Titans bounce back? Could the Jags defense be one of the best in the league? These are all big questions that will be answered in week 2. So how do we think the games will swing this week? Well check this out.
PSF Lock of the Week
PSF Game of the Week
Eagles @ Chiefs
Why this game?
The answer is the fact that Carson Wentz and that offense were really intriguing in week one. Also the pass rush of Kansas City vs this Eagles line and vice versa. Can Alex Smith and Kareem hunt continue there hot starts? Will these defenses play worse without veterans like Ronald Darby (ankle) and Eric Berry (Achilles) That is to be determined and to do that some of the top football minds from this site.

One of the better games this week. The Chiefs and Eagles both won their week 1 games decisively, but Kansas City’s beating of New England was a lot more convincing than Philadelphia’s win over Washington. I give the edge to the Chiefs here. Kansas City 33, Philadelphia 20.

The Kansas City Chiefs showed a ton of explosiveness on offense the last time out when the beat down the New England Patriots 42-27. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill and rookie running back Kareem Hunt were the story of that game as they combined for over 250 yards of offense alone on Opening Night. I expect the storyline to be the same after the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles just don’t have enough on defense in the secondary after losing cornerback Ronald Darby to a dislocated ankle to the Washington Redskins. The front 7 of the Eagles is still very strong thanks to Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and the rest of that defense, but the Patriots were the 2nd best run defense in 2016 and the Chiefs made them look foolish all night.
One thing I am excited to watch in this game is for the stout offensive line of Philadelphia try and hold back the pass rushers (Justin Houston, Dee Ford, Chris Jones) of Kansas City. I expect it to be a very even matchup, but the Chiefs always find a way to get pressure. It will be fun to watch and see what Carson Wentz can do against this great Kansas City defense, but I think the Chiefs explosive offense wins this game.
Kansas City Chiefs 31, Philadelphia Eagles 21

The Chiefs rolled into Foxboro and shocked the entire world by beating the Patriots in week one. Meanwhile Carson Wentz and the Eagles impressed in a big win on the road over the division rival Redskins. Both the Eagles and Chiefs enter this game missing their top defensive backs after Ronald Darby, and Eric Berry both got injured in week one. That plays well into the hands of Alex Smith and Tyreek Hill who just shredded a more talented Patriots secondary. The Eagles will be able to move the ball against the Berry-less Chiefs. But in the end Kansas City’s dynamic offense will be too much for Philadelphia too keep up with. Chiefs win 34-24

Eagles @ Chiefs: Did anybody have a bigger exclamation point to the beginning of the 2017 season than the Kansas City Chiefs? Only one person on our Pro Sports Fandom panel picked them to win. (Ahem, this guy right here.) Kareem Hunt looks like the real deal, and Tyreek Hill is just a touchdown waiting to happen. On the other side of the field, Carson Wentz showed some incredible athleticism last week, and Nelson Agholar looks like he may be ready to become the talent he was drafted to be. A key matchup to me this week is Zach Ertz. Kansas City did a fantastic job of containing Gronk last week, but most of that was due to Eric Berry’s ability to neutralize opposing Tight Ends. With Berry out for the year, I see Ertz having a huge game. Eagles pull one out one road. Philly 24 Kansas City 21

I love what I saw out of Carson Wentz in week one. He moved around the pocket with ease and made all the throws you would expect him to make. If his mechanics get sloppy that will hurt him but that hasn’t happened yet. So I am going with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to win this game in arrow head and announce there arrival as a competitor in the NFC East. However I would not be shocked if KC won this game either, it is a matter of I don’t think Alex Smith will blow up again and have a monster game but I believe Wentz will.
