Raptors Send Magic Packing

With the Toronto Raptors winning two games in Orlando and taking a 3-1 commanding series lead, Toronto wanted to end the series at home so they won’t have to do any more travel in this series. Kawhi Leonard once again led the way for the Raptors with 27 points on 72.7 percent shooting in a 115-96 win for Toronto over the Magic in Game 5.

Leonard was effective in this game all night long and he also grabbed seven rebounds, recorded two assists, and recorded one steal.

Pascal Siakam continues to be a nightmare for opponents and he has been one of the reasons why the Toronto Raptors advanced to the second-round once again this season. Siakam scored 24 points on 50 percent shooting from the field. He also grabbed six rebounds, recorded four assists, and blocked one shot.

Kyle Lowry scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded nine assists, and recorded one steal.

Toronto’s bench scored 35 points. Serge Ibaka scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded two assists, and recorded two steals. Norman Powell scored 11 points, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded two assists.

Their biggest lead in the game was 37 points and Orlando did not have a lead in this game at all.

D.J. Augustin led the way for the Magic with 15 points on 44.4 percent shooting. He also grabbed one rebound, and recorded four assists.

Aaron Gordon scored 11 points, grabbed seven rebounds, recorded one assist, and recorded one steal.

Evan Fournier scored 10 points, grabbed three rebounds, recorded two assists, and recorded two steals.

Orlando’s bench scored 51 points. Terrence Ross and Wes Iwundu each scored 12 points and Michael Carter-Williams and Khem Birch each scored nine points. Birch grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked five shots. Carter-Williams recorded five assists and recorded two steals.

The Orlando Magic overachieved this season and they could make it back to the playoffs next season if they make the right moves in the offseason. This was the first time since the 2011-2012 season they reached the postseason.

The Toronto Raptors will move onto the next round and they will face most likely the Philadelphia 76ers. That series will begin either later this week or early next week.
