Rockets Top Warriors

The Houston Rockets would be at full strength against a depleted Golden State Warriors team at home. James Harden led the way with 36 points on 43.5 percent shooting and Houston easily handled Golden State by a score of 129-112.

Harden also grabbed four rebounds, recorded 13 assists, blocked three shots, and recorded three steals. He continues to be the anchor of this team.

Clint Capela recorded another double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Caepla shot 64.3 percent from the field. He recorded two assists, blocked six shots, and recorded one steal for the Rockets.

P.J. Tucker scored 22 points on 64.3 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 11 rebounds, recorded four assists, and recorded one steal.

Russell Westbrook scored 18 points for Houston. He scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, recorded six assists, and recorded two steals.

Danuel House Jr. scored 17 points. He shot 83.3 percent from the field. House Jr. grabbed six rebounds and recorded one assist.

The Houston Rockets scored 17 bench points and Austin Rivers scored 12 of them. He shot 57.1 percent from the field. Rivers also grabbed three rebounds and recorded three assists.

The leading scorer for the Warriors was Eric Paschall with 19 points. He shot 40 percent from the field. Paschall grabbed six rebounds and recorded three assists.

Glenn Robinson III scored 15 points. He shot 46.2 percent from the field. Robinson III also grabbed 11 rebounds and recorded one assist.

Golden State’s bench scored 58 points. Alec Burks scored 28 points. He shot 55.6 percent from the field. Burks also grabbed eight rebounds, recorded three assists, and recorded two steals.

Omari Spellman and Damion Lee each scored 13 points. Spellman made all six of his shots and Lee shot 21.4 percent from the field. Spellman grabbed seven rebounds, recorded three assists, and recorded two steals.

Lee grabbed six rebounds and recorded three assists.

This has been a much different reality for the Golden State Warriors in 2019-2020. They are currently in 14th in the Western Conference with a 2-6 record.

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and D’Angelo Russell are all injured so far this season.

Curry and Thompson may not even return in 2019-2020.

Head Coach Steve Kerr enjoys seeing the young guys develop and he admits that it is interesting in coaching them up and he also has to be up on his feet more often.

The biggest lead in this game for Golden State was six points. The biggest lead in this game for Houston was 23 points.

These two teams will play each other two more times this season. They will play each other again on Christmas Day at the Chase Center.

The Golden State Warriors next game will be on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.

The Houston Rockets next game will be on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
