With the NBA Trade Deadline set for this Thursday, more teams are making trades. The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded forward Rodney Hood to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin, and a 2021 second-round pick and a 2023 second-round pick, league sources told ESPN according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently 14th in the east with a 11-42 record. The Portland Trail Blazers are currently 4th in the west with a 32-20 record.
Hood is averaging 12.2 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.8 SPG so far this season. He is 26 years old. Rodney Hood’s contract expires at the end of the season.
Stauskas is 25 years old. He is averaging 6.1 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 1.4 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.3 SPG. Baldwin IV is 22 years old. He is averaging 1.9 PPG, 0.9 RPG, 0.8 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.1 SPG so far this season.
This was an interesting trade for both teams. Portland could also look to make more moves before the trade deadline and Cleveland could trade for more draft picks before the trade deadline.
