Sabres Extend Win Streak Against Sharks

The Buffalo Sabres were sweating it out after they surrendered a two-goal lead in the third-period against the San Jose Sharks at home. In overtime, Martin Jones turned the puck over and Jeff Skinner scored the game-winning back-hand goal 1:41 into overtime as the Sabres defeated the Sharks 3-2 in overtime.

Buffalo has won 10 straight games and it ties a franchise record. They won 10 straight back in the 2006-2007 season and 1983-1984 season.

Rasmus Ristolainen scored a dizzle dazzle goal for the Sabres with 5:18 remaining in regulation. Nathan Beaulieu scored for Buffalo 4:34 into the third-period.

Joe Pavelski scored both goals for the San Jose Sharks in the third-period and one of them was on the power play. He tied the game at two with 3:18 remaining in regulation.

Martin Jones made 28 saves for the Sharks. Carter Hutton made 36 saves for the Sabres. These two teams will play each other one more time this season.

The San Jose Sharks will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on the road tomorrow night. The Buffalo Sabres will be on the road against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.
