Sabres Top Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres are two teams in the NHL that have showed signs of improvement so far in 2018-2019. Kyle Okposo’s power-play goal with 1:01 remaining in regulation lifted the Sabres to a 4-3 win over the Canadiens.

Max Domi scored 1:17 into the game for Montreal.

Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo with 9:38 remaining in the second-period. Joel Armia scored for the Canadiens with 3:52 remaining in the second-period. Jason Pominville tied the game at two for the Sabres with 2:18 remaining in the second-period.

Max Domi scored his second goal of the game for the Montreal Canadiens 6:34 into the third-period. Sam Reinhart tied the game with 6:53 remaining in regulation for the Buffalo Sabres.

Antti Niemi made 38 saves for the Canadiens. Carter Hutton made 19 saves for the Sabres.

These two teams will play each other three more times this season. The Montreal Canadiens next game will be against the Boston Bruins on the road on Saturday night. The Buffalo Sabres next game will be against the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road on Saturday night.
