Sabres Top Wild in Shootout

Sam Reinhart scored the lone goal in the shootout for the Buffalo Sabres and Linus Ullmark stopped Zach Praise in the shootout and it lifted Buffalo to a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Ullmark was banged up after the play and Praise checked on him to see if he was alright. Linus Ullmark finished the game with 41 saves.

Evan Rodrigues scored a power-play goal for Buffalo 4:31 into the game. Jared Spurgeon tied the game at one for Minnesota 6:29 into the second-period. C.J. Smith scored for Buffalo 1:03 later. Rasmus Dahlin scored a power-play goal for the Sabres with 8:27 remaining in the second-period.

Jared Spurgeon scored his second goal of the game for the Wild with 6:17 remaining in the second-period. Charlie Coyle tied the game at three for Minnesota with 2:55 remaining in the second-period.

Sam Reinhart scored 6:25 into the third-period for Buffalo. Zach Praise tied the game at four for the Minnesota Wild with 1:37 remaining in regulation and the rest was history.

Deven Dubnyk made 35 saves for Minnesota. The Buffalo Sabres swept the season series 2-0. The Minnesota Wild’s next game will be on Thursday night at home against the Edmonton Oilers. The Buffalo Sabres next game will be on Thursday night at home against the Carolina Hurricanes.
