Sharks Top Blues in Game 1

The San Jose Sharks were flying all over the ice in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals at home against the St. Louis Blues. San Jose’s depth once again was a factor in this game, as it has been all postseason long and it was one of the reasons why they took down St. Louis 6-3.

Logan Couture scored 3:31 into the game for the Sharks.

Joel Edmundson tied the game at one for the Blues 9:13 into the first-period.

Joe Pavelski scored a power-play goal for San Jose with 8:36 remaining in the first-period.

Kevin Labanc scored 7:41 into the second-period for the San Jose Sharks.

Ryan O’Reilly scored for St. Louis 1:17 later in the second-period.

Timo Meier scored the next two goals for San Jose with 9:36 remaining in the second-period and with 2:26 remaining in the second-period.

Tyler Bozak scored for the St. Louis Blues with 6:59 remaining in regulation.

Logan Couture scored his second goal of the game on an empty netter with 2:21 remaining in regulation.

Martin Jones had a solid game in net for the Sharks with 28 saves.

This might have been Jordan Binnington’s worst game this postseason for St. Louis. He finished with 19 saves.

Game 2 will be on Monday night in San Jose.
