After losing a game on the road in overtime against the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, the Philadelphia 76ers needed to find a way to forget that game with a game on the road on Thursday night against the Utah Jazz. Ben Simmons recorded another triple-double with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, one block, and three steals in a Philadelphia 114-97 win over Utah.
J.J. Reddick led the 76ers with 24 points and he made six three’s on nine attempts. Reddick also grabbed five rebounds and recorded one assist. Joel Embiid had another big game for Philadelphia with 23 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, and five blocks. Jimmy Butler scored 19 points and recorded three steals.
The Philadelphia 76ers scored 33 bench points and T.J. McConnell scored 10 of them. He also grabbed two rebounds and recorded seven assists.
Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Utah Jazz with 23 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Rudy Gobert recorded another double-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Utah scored 39 bench points. Dante Exum scored 20 of them and Kyle Korver scored 11 of them. Exum grabbed four rebounds, recorded two assists, and had one steal.
Philadelphia trailed by seven at the end of one and that was the Utah Jazz’s largest lead. The 76ers largest lead got to 23 points. Philadelphia swept Utah in the season series 2-0.
