Spurs Take Down Warriors; Win Ninth Straight Game

The San Antonio Spurs winning streak was on the line at home on Monday night against the Golden State Warriors. DeMar DeRozan led the way for San Antonio with 26 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and one steal in a 111-105 win over Golden State.

LaMarcus Aldridge recorded a double-double for the Spurs with 23 points and 13 rebounds. He also recorded three assists, blocked two shots, and recorded one steal. Derrick White scored 12 points, grabbed two rebounds, recorded four assists, blocked one shot, and recorded two steals.

San Antonio’s bench scored 41 points. Rudy Gay scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds, recorded three assists, and recorded one steal. Patty Mills scored 10 points, grabbed two rebounds, recorded one assist, and recorded one steal.

Steph Curry led the way for the Warriors with 25 points on 36 percent shooting from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds, recorded eight assists, blocked one shot, and recorded three steals.

Kevin Durant scored 24 points on 50 percent shooting. He also grabbed five rebounds and recorded three assists. Klay Thompson scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, recorded five assists, blocked one shot, and recorded one steal.

Draymond Green scored 10 points, grabbed three rebounds, recorded seven assists, blocked three shots, and recorded one steal.

Golden State’s biggest lead was three points. San Antonio’s biggest lead was 14 points.

The Spurs won the season series against the Warriors 2-1. San Antonio is currently in the fifth spot in the west and Golden State is tied for the first spot with the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference.

The Golden State Warriors next game will be on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. The San Antonio Spurs next game will be at home against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
