Game of the Week
Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Chris Chastain (@ChrisPSF)
This game between the Chargers and the Chiefs should be a great one now that it seems the Chargers have figured things out on this win streak. I am still very concerned about the Kansas City Chiefs we just witnessed them lose the 4th QTR 15-0 to the Raiders. The raiders aren’t a good football team. We’re about to find it if the chiefs are what we thought they were at the beginning of the season or if their a average football team. I am leaning towards average. I expect this game to be close but I’m going LA Chargers in a close one. I’ve completely jumped off the Andy Reed wagon for this year. He’s scheming has been mediocre over the last 6 weeks.

Week 15 , Chargers @ Chiefs
The Los Angeles Chargers have come alive over the past 4 weeks. That’s mostly due the QB Phillip Rivers and a great TD:INT ratio of 8:0. Rivers is finally settling into a groove with all of his weapons and reaping the rewards. Just as the Chargers were surging their opponents this week have been headed in the opposite direction. If not for a win against the Raiders last week, Kansas City had lost 4 of the previous games to some of the worst teams in the league. Andy Reid finally cut Kareem Hunt loose for 25 carries. His four games prior to that he only saw carries of 9, 18, 11 and 9. For whatever reason. Andy Reid likes to have a dynamic run game but never use it to its full potential down the stretch of the season. It’s possible Kareem Hunt has open Reid’s eyes with his latest performance and the trend of 20+ carries will continue. However I don’t see that happening against the Chargers this week. Los Angeles will come out firing and score fast causing Andy Reid to hit the panic button. From then on it will b all systems go for Alex Smith to throw, throw, throw. It’s very likely this is a multi turnover game for Smith this week. I think this late season battle for first place in the AFC West goes to the Chargers 24 – 23.

I have been on the Chargers all year. I simply cannot jump off now. Philip Rivers is going to romp over this listless Chiefs d. That said the Chiefs won’t be totally blown out as there offense has improved over the last week. Chargers 38 Chiefs 21
